Looking for a good drum segment where they wind up really whacking away on the Japanese drums. Somewhere in my faded memory I recall a show using them and a harley on the stage, maybe MSG 80ish?

I'm thinking my son, who can't seem to keep from drumming on any and every surface, might appreciate it.

The only time I ever saw a Harley on stage was 5-23-82, Greek Th. About halfway through the drums an Angel brought his Harley on stage and Mickey proceeded to drum to the rhythm. It's a great show and a gfreat addition to anyone's collection.

Check out 6/4/78 for some harleys revving with the drummers. They rev in time to the Not Fade Away intro, too.

1992 was a good year for odd "instruments" during Drums: a jackhammer on 3/2/92, and a locomotive air horn on 6/14/92 and 6/20/92. The latter reappeared at the end of Space to introduce the first Casey Jones in 8 years. I was there, and those horns were LOUD!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I am thinking about a show I saw, so definitely not from the 92 era (and the amplified harley was pretty damn loud, too). The more I think about it, I am pretty sure it was a NY area show in a larger venue. So, that is why I am thinking MSG or maybe nassau colliseum. No later than 82. I am thinking probably somewhere in 79 through 81, because that is when I seem to remember they used a taiko drum set.

I watched a harley try to get to the stage at UMASS in spring 79. Way uncool, I thought at the time.

Good memory, Man. I had that tape at one time, and listened to it plenty, but I forgot about that until you mentioned it.

I was at both the Greek and the UMass (Zoo Mass) shows and they were different situations. At the Greek, the Angel was invited on stage and arrived from back stage. If I remember correctly, the guy at UMass was in the crowd and was trying to get onstage. He was "harshing the mellow" (to quote Homer Simpson) and was on the recieving end of some very disapproving looks from the band. That was an uncool situation
